Nest and I

Lamp post ignited the street.I stood there looking at it
"7601 Knox Ave".
The place where i spent my 2 yrs of stay in US.
It was named as "Nest" later.

Away from home,from my girl for the first time in 25 yrs.
Nest life teached me a lot.
Nest rescued me off from my home sickness,missing my beloved.

Gave me a chance to meet some of the lovely souls in this world.
Enabled me to relive the good old days of volley ball that i played in school.
Nest is where i discovered that i can also cook.
Defined the meaning of "Fun".Enhanced my level of self confidence.

Nest folks that was really a awe-inspiring stay.No words to describe it.
The nest phase of life will ever be in my memories...always.

No way blood related..when i get hurt u guys felt the pain of mine..and thanks a lot for taking care of me

Life in Nest..

It was that day when rajan left for india. everyone were in a terrible shock. Each one of us started understanding, it was not just fun around in nest. There is some real emotional bonding. After spending around 3% of my life time in nest, it is time for me to fly out of the nest. I am writing this blog with a heavy heart and am not getting any words to describe how much i feel.

Rajan -> You were the numero one in the nest daa. You did so many things to keep everyone happy and make life easy. So many sacrifices. So many adjustments. You are awesome dude. You built the nest

Theo -> Laughter is the best medicine da.. Dude, you made us laugh. Though we have ridiculed you many times, everything was for fun da and at heart we all knew how important you are. Without you, nest would have been deprived of lots of fun da. You kept us flocking

Bhai -> You rocked with your enthusiam da. You took the trouble of putting together multiple plans. be it for a weekend enjoyment or for a long trip. you enjoyed and made everyone be a part of it.. You kept us flying

Dakalti -> The unifying factor. you ability to mingle and keep everyone close to heart was really amazing daa. Without you we might not have even found out the term nest. Your good heartedness and friendship is what made most of us feel at home. You protected the nest..

Ajay-> Your bubbliness and enthusiasm kept the nest going. You never felt bad being around with all tamil guys and never separated yourselves from us. Keep up your enthu.. You added value to the nest

Nannu -> Your different thoughts and ideas, your speech and activities helped us going in tough times..

Laxmi -> Your experiments helped us improve. Your choice of movies, choice of food and many others helped us enjoy a lot..

Raji -> Being a single girl in the entire gang, you were the differentiator in the nest.. Cant forget the days when you have cooked for us and those days when you made coffee when we come from home. thanks for everything..

Balaji&Shakthi -> Your presence enjoyed us and you helped us in so many aspects. No words to explain what they mean to us

Finally, all others Nadans, Suthanga, Fardeen, Ibrahim, Gopi, Vasu, Venky, Nirupen, accn guys all of you had a important role at some point as the nest was built and was sustained.
Thanks for everything guys.. Will definitely miss this life.

When water becomes vodka - Part 1

Yet another plot to decieve Mr. T. This time the plot was simple. Me empties a vodka bottle, wash it and fills up with plain water. Idea was to make Mr. T drink water thinking it is vodka and see how he reacts. The ploy starts..

All from nest assembles in a round table..
Dakalti says "Mr. T we are all going to have vodka tonight.."
Mr.T : Why daa..
Dakalti.: Just like that.. bhai told a great news....thats why..
Mr.T : dei bhai eppadi raa irukkae.. enna daa news-su...
Bhai: Onnum illai daa.. Unga kitta ellam oru vishayathai romba naala marachittaen. inniki thaan time vandhu irukku adhai solla...
Meez eats all chicken there meanwhile
Mr.T : Dei meez, chicken kaanadhu daaa...
Meez: ada chee mooditu bhai solradha kelu..
Bhai : Naan 8 varusham-a oru ponna love panraen daa.. nethu thaan avanga veetla ok sonnaanga...
Dakalti (hidingly smiling) : Paaru daa T, namma kitta sollavae illai paarthiyaa bhai..
Bhai : Aaamam daa. ponnu peru sharmila.. singapore-la doctor-a irukkaaa...
Me : (Unable to control laughter.. goyalae.. doctor-a. idhu ellam over daa dei...)
Biddu : dei onakki enna daa.. bhai nee sollu.
Bhai: ellam ippovae sollitaa eppadi.. oru round adipppom..
Meez: first time adikuromae onnum aagadhu illai daa..
Mr. T: kammi-a kudikalam daa meez..
Bhai puts water (Mr. T seeing it as vodka) in every glass and then puts sierra mist...
everyone is ready... takes there cup and say cheers to bhai daa...
dakalti : after having his first sip, enna daa kasakudhu..
Mr. T : dei konjum apdi thaan konjum kaandhum daa.
Me : Enna daa kaandhum kaanadhum.. apdinu....
Biddu: Dey rajan.. indha vodka-ki effect illai...
Rajan: Mavanae iru konjum nerathula kodal ellam vegal pogudhu...
Mr. T : enakku light-a erudhu daa.. mm. mmm... baai nee solludu
Bhai: College-la irundhae palakkam daa.. school-la konjum naal onnaa padichom.
Mr. T : Adapaavi...
Bhai: Veetla permission vaangitu thaan ellar kittayum sollanum-nu nenachom.
Mr.T : Apdinaa Permission vaangi aacha
Bhai : Naayae.. naan enna ingae kadha kalatchebam-a naduthuraen. olunga kelu..
Last week ok sonnanga...
Mr. T: apram ennoda pona vaaramae sollala..
Rajan: idho daa. vandhuttar daa kelviyin naayagan.... iru daa adhukkum bhai edhachum solluvaan.. theo, kelvo ketkuradhu romba easy. badhil solradhu romba kastam..

Meanwhile biddu overacts and pours sierra mist down as if he has got too much bhodai..

Rajan: edho sonnaae.. ippo enna solrae..

Biddu : dei.. poda poda. naan steady-a thaan irukki...

Dakalti : Dei ennanga daa.. onnumae erala..

Mr. T: iru daa.. konjum konjum-a erum...
